Jerry Morse Passed Away

Jerry Morse who was 87 years, passed away after a short illness on November 8, 2008 in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia, Canada. He is survived by his wife Lilo, his daughter Maria, and his son Paul and the grandchildren.

Jerry was not only a World War Two veteran, who served overseas in many capacities, but he was also a peace activist who struggled all of his life for the betterment not only of Canadians, but people of the whole world.

He was an active member of the Executive of the Canada-USSR Association, the Canadian Friends of Soviet People and took part in demonstrations and work of the progressive movement in Canada and of the Veterans for Peace many activities.

Jerry will be remembered by readers in 78 countries of the world where his many articles were published in Northstar Compass, which is the official publication of the International Council for Friendship and Solidarity with Soviet People in English, French, Russian and Spanish Editions.

When Jerry attended the many Friendship Congresses and events that were held, he was never for loss of words, ideas and suggestions that were very much appreciated by everyone.

Jerry was not only progressive, not only a defender of the working class in Canada, Jerry was a true internationalist and struggles all of his life against imperialism and against the U.S. New Word Order!

You will always be remembered and honored by us for your dedication to humankind!
