The Following Resolutions Were Also Adopted Unanimously:

1: Whereas the imperialist crisis is intensifying; whereas the anti-imperialist struggles of the word’s peoples are intensifying; whereas more and more anti-imperialist international formations are operating;

Be it resolved that the International Council for Friendship and Solidarity with Soviet People calls upon all organizations under its umbrella to join all anti-imperialist, international formations, like the International League of Peoples’ Struggles and the International Migrants Assembly to unify anti-imperialist forces and advance the anti-imperialist struggles.

2: Whereas the migration of peoples from the republics of former Soviet Union has become significant; whereas such migration is the product of the crisis of these societies due to the capitalist restoration; whereas such migration is a very significant factor stabilizing these crisis; whereas these migrants face exploitation and oppression in other countries;

Be it resolved that the International Council calls upon the progressive anti-imperialist movements of former Soviet Republics to organize progressive anti-imperialist migrants’ organizations of these migrants and join the anti-imperialist international formations like the International Migrants Assembly.

3: Whereas more than 1000 leaders of progressive organizations in the Philippines have been murdered by forces credibly linked to the Philippine State; Whereas UN Special Rapporteur Philip Alston and other prestigious persons and organizations have denounced the absence of political will of the Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo Regime to investigate these killings; whereas the Philippine regime has regularly promoted Jovita Palparan up the chain of military command up to Brigadier General and to be National Security Advisor despite being regularly implicated with organizing political killings in multiple region of the Philippines;

Be it resolved that the International Council calls upon Gloria Macapacal Arroyo regime to end these political killings and to punish those responsible, no matter how high their ace is in the State.

4:Wheras the Philippine May First Movement (KMU) is a militant and democratic union that sets an outstanding example for workers and unionists around the world; whereas the KMU is staunchly anti-imperialist, anti-fascist and anti-feudal; whereas the KMU regularly organizes international solidarity affairs (ISA) regularly in May to increase unity between Philippino workers and workers from other countries;

Be it resolved that the International Council calls upon all organizations under its umbrella to encourage trade unions with which they work to send delegates to KMU’s ISA.

5: We the delegates and observers of the October 10-11-12, 2008 International Council Conference for Friendship and Solidarity with Soviet People congratulate the workers and peasants of Nepal for their victory so far achieved by their 10 years of armed struggles against the despotic monarchy and to establish the Nepal Republic.

We wish them success until the final victory of Socialism!
