The Belarus air-defenses commander Oleg Paferov announced last April 5 that Russia will deliver four S-300 surface-to-air missile systems. There is also being signed a joint agreement on the establishment of joint regional air defenses with Russia. This is due to the threats by US in the Baltic area region.
Meanwhile Belarus Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrey Sasvinyk said that... US sanctions against a Belarus state-run foreign trade companies are reminiscent of the Cold War era. This was in reaction to the US State Department's decision to slap a two-year ban for all US agencies and. organizations on procuring goods, services or technologies from. 12 foreign countries, including Belarus, China, North Korea, Russia, Taiwan and the United Arab Emirates. The US State Department accused these enterprises in those countries of supplying Iran with materials and technologies that can be used for the making of weapons of mass destruction.
In other words – US plans are in motion to attack Iran soon.
Is Georgia-Style Coup Brewing?
It is difficult to characterize the American-Armenian relations in a few words. On the one hand, the level of American aid to Armenia, when calculated on a per-capita basis, makes Armenia the second-largest recipient of US assistance after Israel. In the years since its independence in 1991, Armenia has received grants, credits from all sources with over $3 billion US. Half of that was a grant from the United States. But somehow the US seemed to have ignored Armenia until now.
Now the US has established close ties with Armenia, giving it more money per capita only second to Israel. There is close cooperation in military, economic, defense, fighting terrorism and the establishment of military bases in Armenia and making certain that Armenia will follow the coup that was staged next door in Georgia.
The US has established an FBI, CIA and other agencies office in Armenia and now it is to be the kingpin in its location as far as the Caucasus region is concerned. With US military delegations an ongoing affair now, US imperialism looks at Armenia as its local and focal point in this very important region.
US imperialism wants to tear this region away from Russia as quickly as possible and the USA plans to dominate even more the whole of the former USSR, thus having Russia surrounded on all sides – easy pickings in order to get at the tremendous riches therein.
With the Pentagon's Richard Miles playing a key role in Armenia and Kazakhstan – he is a notorious fomenter of revolutions, whose previous Pentagon assignments were in Serbia and Georgia – Bush feels secure that Armenia will collapse right into the arms of US Imperialism.
We're just wondering what Mr. Putin is doing to safeguard Russia? It seems that he is enjoying his riches and wealthy life-style too much to give a damn about the people.

The USA is getting ready to interfere in Russian domestic policy, under the excuse of protecting human rights. The real cause of this interference will be the oil-bearing territory of Siberia, sparsely populated by native peoples.
The US "Wall Street Journal" suddenly became interested in the native peoples living in Siberia. The Wall Street Journal told its readers about the people in Siberia who are dying out, and the efforts of the brave US'-sponsored linguists in restoring the disappearing language of the Khant people. American business is unlikely to be altruistic; this is nothing else but control of the oil-bearing Siberia regions. The easiest way of getting hold of the Siberian oil is by using the native Siberian peoples as a tool.
All of a sudden the "Wall Street Journal" wrote about a 71-year old Elizaveta Sigiletova, one of the "last" bearers of the Khant language, which is slowly disappearing, supposedly attacked by the state language, which is Russian. The WSJ said that the lady was forced to speak Russian and thus forgot most of her language. She was only able to say a few words in Khan.
In the 18th century the Slavic people came to Siberia and introduced Christianity. The 1917 revolution brought many changes by having all the minorities become Soviet citizens. They sent all the children to school, brought culture, education – since most of the people could not read or write, but "made them" speak Russian. In 1960 oil was discovered in Siberia and thousands of Soviet people went to Siberia to settle and thus started the industrial boom in Siberia, based around oil and forest industry.
It does not matter to the "Wall Street Journal" that the tiny Siberian tribes were never engaged in the oil industry and that they forgot their dialect. However, the US figures that if there are no existing tribes, they should be invented.
The US now hired many specialists. Native peoples are made up of fragments of tiny tribes and the US is attempting to restore their "genuine" language.
The US hired Tomsk University linguists, who are working to restore the Khant language and these are depicted as "enthusiasts" and not as paid workers with US dollars.
The USA is good in creating countries from nothing. In the beginning of the 20th century the USA needed to control the beginning of the Panama Canal. The US made everything possible to separate a part of the Colombia republic and establish a new state that US occupiers called Panama. Then it made an agreement with Panama to lease part of its territory for constructing the Panama Canal. Later on it was found out that it was a US citizen who signed this agreement on behalf of Panama. Thus this fake country was established, its fake people received "freedom and independence". Of course the USA benefited by using the Panama Canal.
Today, oil-bearing Siberia can become another Panama, which was a part torn away from Colombia by US imperialism. This article in the "Wall Street Journal" is just the first attempt. By starting the fight for the "rights of the Khant people", supposedly oppressed by the Russians, the control over Siberian oil, the US thinks, can be obtained. And this, one should expect no mercy from the US.
Americans through the Pentagon-controlled media are working themselves into excitement over the tribes living in nomad tents, and are irritated about the Russians who brought these people schooling, culture, industry and upgraded there living standards to be equal with other nationalities of the ex-USSR – without setting up reservations for these people as was done by the USA with its native peoples. It looks like the ruling classes in America are preparing a new Panama in Siberia.

The USA is launching a new military program, which will include Georgia, whose aim is to train the armed forces, and it's going to be under the command of the US European Command. US now is also supplying the latest war equipment.
This is in preparation of invading and as Saakashvili warned: "Adjaria will be destroyed by our force of arms!"
The Georgian Defense Minister was on a five-day visit to US where these plans were discussed.

Last March 28-30 a series of attacks on militia posts and other explosions rocked Tashkent and a village near Bukhara. At least twenty people were killed and many injured. These attacks were carried out by two women bombers, one of whom detonated herself near the beautiful Kurkaldash mosque in the old part of Tashkent. A very sad day for the Uzbek nation.
President Karimov denounced these attacks, explaining that they "were carried out by those forces that hate our country, the peaceful life and our achievements. They are trying to disrupt our faith and our good thoughts and creative work." (He sounds like president Bush. doesn't he? Editor)
Privately, the recent murders of the militia are seen by many Uzbeks as just deserts for a force that is omnipresent, eager to supplement their meager capitalist wages with bribes, notorious for using torture against the people, and always "solving any crime" by finding an appropriate criminal, whether or not he or she is guilty. In the Fergana Valley, where the anti-regime hatred is at a boiling point, the head of a militiaman was stuck on the city hall fence.
The IMF dictates the economic policy and consequently the local currency. At-the insistence of the IMF, WB, the prices have jumped sky high and into an unbearable level for the working people. Inflation is eating away at the real wages of the people, while unemployment is rising alarmingly. Imported goods have doubled, being dumped by Western monopolies, and in most cases they are phony, only packaged by petty swindlers, the would-be New Uzbeks.
In one word, the atmosphere of "freedom and democracy" based on the IMF wisdom has created a tinderbox. The devastation wrought by the policies of the IMF and the WB, allowed the newly created Mafia to deposit their ill-gotten gains abroad.
The rise in transportation costs is astounding, and it will absorb half of a person’s daily wage, going and coming from work. The people, especially the elderly, often shout at the bus drivers... can they be the terrorists, these Babushkas?
But the daily press in Uzbekistan talks about the "great future, the happy contended citizens, the praise by the IMF of the president, the lack of inflation, the construction, etc." It seems 'as if these stories are about another country, but not about Uzbekistan.
The president charges that these terrorist acts are emulating what the Palestinians are doing. If so, he puts himself in the shoes of the Israeli and US occupation forces in their respective missions, hardly desirable bedfellows for a Muslim leader.
He calls upon the Uzbek people, the Mahallas and their members to be extra careful to preserve order in Uzbekistan.
That is what is happening in the USA after 9/11, encouraging the people to spy on each other, but don't dare ask questions of the present regime. There are thousands of these do-called "fanatics" that are languishing in Uzbek jails now without any trial. The fact that life for most Uzbeks is unbearable is never ever mentioned.
But be beware, Mr. Karimov, the USA can be a very fickle ally. The shiny new FBI office that you allowed to be constructed in Tashkent (!?) plus the huge military base you so magnanimously handed over to the US, packed full of hardnosed soldiers and covert operations experts – they are not there to protect YOU!! And you certainly can't fool all of the people all of the time.

The counter-revolution that took place in the Soviet Union has seen the demolition of Soviet monuments and monuments dedicated to the victory in the Great Patriotic War. In most of the former socialist countries, the dismemberment of mausoleums, the demolition of monuments to Communists in their struggle against fascism has become epidemic.
Since 1992, the present bourgeois government of Russia has ceased to support with finances the upkeep of the Lenin Mausoleum in the Red Square. This monumental complex was taken under the protection of UNESCO as a historical site for humanity. In the Kremlin Wall there are buried the heroes of the USSR, the heroes who defended the Soviet Union and the world against the scourge of fascism. It also contains the heroes who fought for the working class.
The move is afoot now by the present reactionary Russian leadership, headed by Putin, to demolish this historical, UNESCO-protected complex.
We are asking all people to write to the President of Russia and to the Russian Duma, protesting this move by the authorities to demolish this word-wide historical complex.

According to the Russian intelligence officers, many foreign intelligence agents are entering the country as diplomats, embassy secretaries and businessmen. Upon entering, they set up fictitious business firms where intelligence agents are already working. The US Government uses this method of spying in Latin America, Europe and South East Asia.
In an interview, a high-ranking security source said that Russian security sources have noticed a marked increase in US and British intelligence work in Russia. US agents are carrying out their spying activities within Russia itself, but also from positions in former Soviet republics and directly from Britain.
According to the Russian intelligence spokesman – in the early 1990s – after the collapse of the Soviet Union and during this crisis in Russia, the most important issue was for – "CIA controlling the political events in Russia so that they would take a course that would be advantageous for Washington," this according to the Russian source.
In this connection, it was pointed out that US intelligence was always interested in the (Soviet) Russian Academy of Sciences – the USA and Canada Institute above all, its activity and staff members. It is no secret that this Institute has always been involved in making forecasts about the future of Russia-USA relations and gave recommendations to the Russian government about how to develop relations between the two countries.
The Russian intelligence source commented on the recent trial of a staff member of this institute, Igor Sutyagin. The accused admitted that he was cooperating with the foreign intelligence agents under the front organization based in London called "Alternative Futures."
Knowing that Igor Sutyagin was going to be promoted to a very senior position at the Russian Academy of Sciences, the CIA was desperate to recruit him for their future services. The CIA was pleased at the way the political situation developed and is developing in Russia, according to their plans, but they followed closely where the money was going in Russia's defense budget and they needed someone on the inside to confirm this. Since the late 1990s Russia was planning to defend its interests much more than before, thus the CIA increased its spying activities and the recruitment of agents.
Igor Sutyagin received cash payments in US dollars even before he passed on any information to the CIA. He was directed not to phone from Russia or from other former republics, but use his mobile phone outside its borders. He passed on information about the new Russian Akula submarine, the project's number, relations between the Russian General Staff and project managers, the workings of the Russian government’s digital communications system, the actuality of Russia's missile systems and the technical details of the S-300 anti-aircraft system.
On April 7, 2004 the Moscow district court sentenced Sutyagin to 15 years in prison for state treason in the form of espionage.

When will the Russian Court sentence the following for the highest form of treason against the country – Yeltsin, Gorbachev, Putin and many others?
Russian Defense Minister lvanov said at a US news conference in Washington last month, after an official visit, when asked by a press reporter about US military forces present in the ex-USSR and how that happened:
"After the 9/11 attacks on the US, President Putin, after speaking to President George Bush, recommended to all of the leaders of the ex-Soviet republics to agree on US military presence on their territory during the anti-terrorist US campaign. We understand that their presence will be for a long time. "
Is there any need to comment on this traitorous decision?

The 13th anniversary meeting of Soviet citizens took place in Moscow on the All Union Referendum that was held on March 17, 1991 on saving the USSR – the results of which showed that the overwhelming majority of the Soviet people wanted the USSR to remain as it was before. Tamara Khabarova spoke at length about the question of citizenship, one of the most important aspects of nationality and state structure. She outlined the history of the attempts and successes of the present bourgeois regime that replaced the Soviet passports, thus eliminating Soviet citizenship and replacing it with the Russian passport.
Now we are supposed to be citizens of a collaborationist regime, which exists only by the support of its Western masters and the help of the UN – which has long ceased to be a body that represents the interests of the world, but only the interests of US imperialism.
Under pressure of imperialism and with the help of the UN, decisions were made by the Group of 8 (including Russia) – to combine all countries into one sphere of influence and through electronic control establish a world where imperialism will dictate who is who, what nationalities must exist and what progress can be made to solidify the control of the IMF, WB, Multinational Corporations and other agencies over the peoples of the world.
The present regime, without consulting the Soviet people, undertook this final attempt to put out of people’s minds that they are Soviet citizens, that their passports are Soviet and thus they thought to eliminate forever that there ever existed the Soviet Union and that there lived Soviet people.
We have to convince people that they should not give up their Soviet passports and not accept the new passports. This refusal, if carried on systematically, will give us at least an intellectual victory in this struggle, until there comes the resurrection of the USSR and we can then again consider ourselves as Soviet citizens and have Soviet passports.
For more than a year we appealed to Gennady Zyuganov, leader of the CPRF, to lead this struggle against the elimination of the Soviet passport and the attempt by the present regime to codify each person into a data bank, to be used by the powers that be for their mind indoctrination through electronic media and control. We asked Zyuganov to take this up in the Russian Duma. But we knew all along that Zyuganov would never do this. This proves that the only organization is ours – the Congress of Citizens of USSR – that must keep on struggling to save the Soviet passport and thus help the people who consider themselves Soviet and eventually help resurrect the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and our Soviet passports.
US, British and Israeli imperialism have gained the upper
hand, now that the mighty Soviet Union is no longer around.

Five Ukrainian soldiers were killed in Iraq while many others were wounded. There are 1,600 Ukrainian solders helping US imperialism in trying to subjugate the Iraqi people. Why? Obviously not all of them want to fight, judging that the whole group abandoned their position last month, against the direct orders of the NATO commander.
The Communist deputies in the Ukrainian parliament should not plead with President Kuchma about bringing the soldiers back home, but should organize a General Strike to back this demand!

The biography of V.V. Putin says that he was born into the family of a worker in the NKVD. But the Polish weekly published a photograph from 1944, which shows Putin's father, in the uniform of a lieutenant in the Kazak Division of the traitor Vlasov's Army which served Hitler during World War II.
His father, Vladimir Spiridonovich Putin, is shown in this 1944 photo talking together with German SS officers on plans to liquidate the partisan movement in Byelorussia. His father switched sides from a trusted worker of the NKVD and joined the German-sponsored and supported General Vlasov’s Army. General Vlasov was tried as a traitor and shot.
President Putin served in the KGB and now he serves imperialism. Will history repeat itself?

The British newspaper MAIL last month published its "RICH REPORT 2004": which includes the 300 richest UK-based men and women, according to the Kommersant newspaper published in Moscow. Roman Abramovich, the Russian billionaire who has acquired the British Chelsea Football Club, tops the list. His personal fortune is estimated at $13.42 billion dollars.
This is not the first time that this Zionist, Mr. Abramovich, has topped the UK listings. At the end of 2003, he was named "London's Personality of the year 2003" by the voters on the website of the Evening Standard newspaper.
The Duke of Westminster, the UK's largest landowner with an estimated fortune of $4.63 billion, was ranked only third. The Queen of England came in at 26th with $1.05 billion. Besides this, Abramovich was appointed by Putin as the Governor of Chukotka region in Siberia.
Mr. Abramovich is not only a Russian citizen; he is a British citizen and also a citizen of Israel.
Forbes magazine ranked Abramovich in 25th place in the world, with a fortune of more than $10.6 billion, up from 49th place in 2003.

The CIA dug a tunnel under the Kremlin and installed a hi-tech bugging system to eavesdrop on the Soviet Union's most senior government figures, according to the US intelligence officer who executed this plan.
The device was put in by a US agent who had to wear a protective suit and who was guided by US satellite and sonar images of Moscow's underground. The bugging formed part an audacious operations to rescue a key defector, a KGB officer, and to alert former President Boris Yeltsin to the attempted coup (led by. Soviet patriots headed by Gennady Yanayev -Editor) against Gorbachev.
"The stories about a five-level city beneath Moscow are true", said Tony Mendes, a former Moscow-based CIA technical officer, now retired. "These are tunnels from ancient times of Ivan the Terrible. But some of the tunnels were recently made:"
A Russian agent who worked for the CIA entered the tunnel system one night, equipped with computer guided systems, air filters and already supplied maps of the Moscow underground. He negotiated the sewer and metro system to reach tunnels running under the Kremlin.
One of these tunnels passed directly beneath the nerve center of the 16th Directorate, the KGB's electronic ears, which also dealt with high-level state communications.
That night, as pre-planned, Mendes was in the Kremlin theatre attending a performance of the Ballet, Koppelia. The audience also included a US mole in the Soviet KGB 16th Directorate, "Major Peter Leonov" and his wife. Two of the ushers at this Kremlin theatre were CIA agents in disguise.
When Leonov and his wife went to the toilet, during the intermission, they were joined by the two CIA agents – who already had disguises on them, to make them look like Leonov and his wife, and these agents returned to Leonov's seats. The Leonovs, in the meantime, now dressed as the ushers went to the service elevators.
They went to the tunnel entrance to meet the CIA subterranean agent. Leonov then showed the CIA agent exactly where to plant the listening device in the KGB's Communications System.
The Leonovs were then spirited from the Soviet Union later that day on a ferry from one of the Baltic States.
CIA agent Mendes stated that the eavesdropping device was very instrumental in thwarting the coup in August of 1991, when Gorbachev was detained in the Crimea Dacha by the military and CC CPSU, led by Gennady Yanayev, Vice President. President George Bush Senior and Prime Minister John Major of Britain called Yeltsin to urge him to stand up to the army.
"How do you think they knew all about this?" asked Mendes.
"For years, we were mining high-grade gold in USSR," Mendes said, "But things started going awry and our 25 CIA agents and moles started being caught in the USSR and executed."

Word of a Communist
From the Statement of the XXXIII Congress of UCP-CPSU
Last February 29, 2004 there took place a Congress in Moscow that give birth to the reborn Communist Party of the Soviet Union. The main report at the Congress was given by Oleg Shenin. There were 149 delegates attending this Union of Communist Parties-CPSU, that represented the 14 communist and workers parties that belonged to the UCP-CPSU. Each party had the opportunity to send 15 delegates to this Congress, irrespective of the party. Some parties were unable to spend this kind of money from all former republics of the USSR.
Of the 14 parties that were in the UCP-CPSU, 12 communist parties unanimously voted to give rebirth to one CPSU, but two parties decided not to join; they were RCWP and UCP. Discussions took place as to what transpired in 1993 and the reasons were analyzed. Since the UCP-CPSU existed for 11 years, it was time to get all the parties into one mighty CPSU.
When the delegates voted unanimously to give rebirth to one CPSU, the delegates stood up and sang the International with such fervor that the roof shook.
Commissions were elected to work on the new Constitution, new rules and other elements needed to reorganize in all former republics of the USSR the one mighty Communist Party of the Soviet Union.
Oleg S. Shenin was elected as its chairman.
Northstar Compass congratulates this long-overdue attempt to unify all the anti-capitalist parties into one mighty CPSU. NSC receives newspapers, statements and letters from all the parties and, it seems that comrade Oleg Shenin still has a few bridges to cross before ALL the anti-regime parties come into one mighty CPSU.
